Sunny’s appeal

The difficulties they and their vehicles cause to the rescue workers are huge.

Actor Sunny Wayne, who was in the forefront of the flood relief operations last year, is active on the ground this time too. On Tuesday morning, making a public appeal to cooperate with the rescue and relief operations in the flood-hit Kavalappara village in Malappuram, he asked visitors to not hinder the work there.

His post reads, “People are flocking to Kavalapppara, but not for relief operations. They are coming to see the landslide-wrecked region on their holiday. The difficulties they and their vehicles cause to the rescue workers are huge. For kilometers, the roads are blocked, affecting the service of even ambulances. The greatest rescue operation the visitors can do now is to not go to Kavalappara as tourists.” Hope someone listens to the message.
