Malayalam actress abduction: Police claims Dileep received assault clip
Police made the submission while opposing the bail application of Dileep.
Kochi: If a report submitted by the cops before the Angamali Judicial First Class Magistrate is to be believed, either Pulsar Suni or his aide had handed over the visuals to Dileep and a subsequent dispute over payment resulted in the blackmail and arrest of the actor. Police made the submission while opposing the bail application of Dileep. The court considered the contentions of the police and extended the police custody of Dileep by a day. Dileep would remain in police custody till 5 pm Saturday.
According to the investigation team, since the complainant was an actress, Dileep may attempt to threaten her on film sets and even cause a law and order situation. The investigation team on Friday demanded Dileep’s custody, stating a number of reasons including the safety of the actress.
Police submitted before the Angamali Judicial First Class Magistrate that they were yet to recover the mobile phone used to record the act. Police submitted that they were yet to question Adv Pratheesh Chacko, who was the one who allegedly collected the phone from Pulsar Sunil, the first accused. If Dileep was released, chances of the police recovering the mobile phone would decline.
Police added that they were planning to question many important personalities who were Dileep’s close aides and friends. Police added that the case had become a topic of discussion among the general public and if released on bail, that would send a wrong message to the general public. “Dileep may also escape from the clutches of the law and make himself unavailable from the trial of the case,” police said.
