A special relationship
After a gap of around two years, Vineeth and Aju are sharing screen space in Srikant Murali directed Aby.
It was through Vineeth Sreenivasan’s debut directorial venture — Malarvadi Arts Club — that his collegemate Aju Varghese entered the film industry. He went on to become a permanent fixture in the Malayalam film industry. But Vineeth, who is also an actor, has got very few chances to act along with his close friend.
Now, after a gap of around two years, Vineeth and Aju are sharing screen space in Srikant Murali directed Aby. Talking about acting along with Aju, Vineeth says, “When it comes to acting, he is more experienced than me. Though I started my career before him, Aby is my 12th film, which eventually became his 65th film. Naturally, he has a lot of ideas, when we come together for a shot.”
Vineeth points out it is a special time when Aju is there on the sets. “When he comes to the sets, our whole crew tries to film the scenes with him in a very speedy manner, just because of his busy schedule. Rest of the days, there will be no hurry — as I am not that busy, we can work in a cool mode,” he laughs.
Quizzed about the trolls on social media sites, after Aju became father again of twins, he says “Even I also troll him but not in public.”
