Parvathy’s Uyare conquers great heights
The film festival will be held in Boston from Sept 13 to 15.
Manu Ashok-directed Uyare, starring Parvathy Thiruvothu, will be screened at the prestigious India International Film Festival of Boston 2019 which will be held from September 13 to 15.
It was the makers of the critically-acclaimed film who announced the news on the social media recently. “It gives us immense happiness to announce that Uyare has been selected for India International Film Festival of Boston 2019. Thank you for the constant love, support and encouragement you all have been giving us,” their Facebook post read. The inspiring story of an acid attack survivor, Uyare sees Parvathy in the role of Pallavi, an aspiring pilot who survives an acid attack and conquers her dream of becoming an air hostess. Also starring Asif Ali, Tovino Thomas and Siddique, the movie was scripted by Bobby and Sanjay.
The prosthetic make-up by Zubi Johal and Rajeev Subba on Parvathy had garnered attention long before the release. Produced by Shenuga, Shegna and Sherga of S Cube Films, the film’s music was composed by Gopi Sunder and edited by Mahesh Narayan.
Also the first Malayalam film to release in South Korea with Korean subtitles, Uyare was screened for children at government homes in Kerala.
