Velleppam, a comedy flick

Noorin Shereef, who became popular with Omar Lulu directorial Oru Adaar Love, seems to be busy. The actor has a couple of projects in her kitty and will be seen in Praveen Raj Pookkadan’s maiden directorial venture Velleppam. The script of the movie, which will have Noorin and Akshay Radhakrishnan in lead roles, is by debutant Jeevan Lal. Akshay had made an impressive debut in Shankar Ramakrishnan's Pathinettam Padi and Velleppam will be his second outing.

The puja and switch-on event of the movie was performed at the Three Dots Studio in Ernakulam in the presence of many celebrities. The first-look poster of Velleppam has also been launched. Actors like Sreejith Ravi and Shine Tom Chacko will also appear in pivotal roles. The movie, which is set in the backdrop of Thrissur, has been presented by Jose Chakkalakal and is said to be a light-hearted one.
