The appearance of Manju Warrier as Aami a.k.a. Madhavikutty in director Kamal’s biopic on Madhavikutty, one thing that Malayali audience has been waiting for some time, is finally out. Happy and nervous about playing the role of Aami, the actress shared her look in the movie on her Facebook page. Looks like she has undergone a complete makeover to become the poetess who redefined Malayali’s reading habit with her utter honesty.
“Madhavikutty blossomed somewhere between reality and imagination. It is not easy to get into that soul. Let Kamal sir, an extraordinary talent whom I see as my teacher, guide me. I could realise this moment her enchanting smell. Fingers that made letters dance touch my head gently. I bow my head and become Aami with prayers,” she wrote. The movie started rolling at Kamala Surayya Memorial in Punnayoorkulam, Thrissur, on Friday. The first leg would be shot in Ottappalam. The movie earlier was in news when actor Vidya Balan, who was initially cast for the role, backed out.
