Allu Sirish forays into Mollywood

Allu Sirish, the younger brother of Allu Arjun, who made his debut in Tamil with Gouravam, is on cloud nine. The actor will be next making his debut in Malayalam, sharing screen space with superstar Mohanlal in Major Ravi’ direction.
The war film, titled 1971 — Beyond Borders, is based on 1971 Indo-Pak war. Sirish will play the role of a tank commando in the film. An excited Sirish tells DC, “During my visit to Hyderabad, the director narrated the script to me, as he was looking for a young and vulnerable boy to portray the tank commando in his film, which also has some fictionalised accounts. I didn’t want to let go of the opportunity and gave my nod immediately. It is more of an emotional human drama rather than patriotic film.”
On teaming up with Mohanlal, he says, “I am thrilled and at the same time, nervous. Mohanlal sir plays my superior who heads my commando wing. It is about the guru-sishya relationship. He appears in a different look in the film.” Since the movie cannot be shot in real locations, the makers are raising sets in Rajasthan, where most part of the film will be shot.
