Shane Nigam bags lead role

Actor Shane Nigam rose to stardom with a handful of roles in recent years. According to the latest reports, he will play the lead role in the upcoming rom-com titled Painkili. The film will be the directorial debut of Devan, who has assisted director V. K. Prakash in many movies.  Shane has proved himself to be one of the promising young actors currently working in the Malayalam film industry.

The movie will be scripted by Praveen Balakrishnan. A stellar star cast of actors including Soubin Shahir, Mukesh and Aju Varghese will be featured in this movie. The film tells the story of Harry, a young person who is a spirited traveller and writer. Devan has been working on this film for the past two years. "Shane was so excited when I shared the story with him. I had the idea of this movie long back when I was working in the movie called Hello Namasthe," says Devan, the son of director and producer Jayan Nair.
