Pratap Pothen to direct for Supriya Films

Actor turned filmmaker Pratap Pothen is all set to wield megaphone for a film, which is produced by Supriya Films, startged by his brother late Hari Pothen. It is after a gap of around 20 years, Supriya, which had produced some notable films like Thulabharam, Rathinirvedam, Itha Ivide Vare, Aswamedham and Arapatta Kettiya Gramathil, funds for a film. Pratap-directed Tamil film Athma was Supriya’s last production venture.

This yet to be titled film, which has Dulquer Salmaan in the lead role, will start rolling from July at Varkala in Thiruvnanthapuram. The film is jointly produced by Supriya and Rejaputhra Visual Media. Nedumudi Venu and Nandu are also selected to essay key roles in the movie which has its script written by Anjali Menon. This film will mark the debut of award winning cinematographer Rajiv Menon in Malayalam.
