Janaki to release in June

Janaki is a 12-year-old living in the street, orphaned and abandoned, and facing difficult odds, till she meets Sekharan Master, an elderly Gandhian. She finds temporary relief at his abode, where she is treated as family, until he passes away, and she is left to deal with the cruelties of the outside world alone.

That’s the story of the film, also called Janaki, made by M.G. Sasi, a few years ago. It had been screened at festivals before, but the release had been delayed due to technical problems. Now, the film, produced by Prakash Bare, is ready to hit theatres in June.
