Sathura Adi 3500 is a ghost thriller that was supposed to be a new concept revolving around the real estate mafia network, and inspired from real life incidents. Sadly, while sounding good on paper, debut filmmaker Jaison has kind of lost track in the execution.

The story starts with young civil engineer Stephen (Akash) seen hanging on the topmost floor of a multistoried building under construction. The job of investigating the suspicious death has been entrusted with a forthright cop Karuna (Nikhil Mohan).

Meanwhile, the spirit of Stephen crosses the path and haunts all the prospective grooms who had approached his ex-lover, Sophie (Ineya). The ghost also terrorizes the cops including Karuna and his higher officer (Thalaivasal Vijay), psychiatrist Gauri Shankar (Mano Bala). Then there is this romantic track between Karuna and his longtime girlfriend (Swathy Dixit) and a one-sided love between a poor mechanic Immanuel and Sophie. Suddenly, Karuna gets a lead that point to a dreaded don named Fahad (Pratap Pothen) who heads a builder mafia network. Fahad is also possibly responsible for all the mysterious deaths in the real estate sector.

Though veteran Rahman’s name prominently appeared on all promos of the movie, the actor was seen only in a just blink-n-miss role. Ineya hardly had anything to perform. Newcomer Nikhil fits the role of a cop in terms of looks, but he needs to hone his acting skills. Kovai Sarala gets repetitive and one feels miserable as to why an actress of substance resorts to such sleazy tactics. MS Bhaskar, Manobala, Thalaivasal Vijay, Pratap Pothen are also there in the cast. The problem with the film is its poor script, underdeveloped characters and disjointed screenplay. Tacky and unconvincing visuals of ghosts do not help either.
