1134 movie review

Amidst the array of big-budget releases, the Telugu film industry welcomes '1134,' a small-budget heist drama featuring a cast of relatively new faces. Released on January 5, this crime thriller has managed to create a stir with its unique storyline and unexpected twists. Let's dive into the narrative and see how '1134' fares at the box office.

 The Kidnapping and Shared Stories:

'1134' introduces an intriguing plot where an unidentified man kidnaps three young men – Laxman (Phani Sharma), Eric (Gangadhar Reddy), and Harsh (Phani Bhargav) – throwing them into a police guest house on the outskirts of the village. As the motives behind the kidnapping remain unclear, the trio decides to share their stories.

 Unique Criminal Pursuits:

Eric hacks CCTV cameras, Lakshman specializes in stealing luggage bags, and Harsh excels in looting money from ATMs. Surprisingly, all three unknowingly work for the same person. The kidnapper's intention seems to be eliminating them to prevent exposure of their crimes.

 A Collaborative Escape:

Upon escaping, the trio joins forces to uncover the identity of their abductor and the person responsible for their shared criminal activities. The cryptic number 1134 becomes a central element in their quest, leaving audiences intrigued about the connection and ultimate revelation.

 Analysis of the Narrative:

Directed by SSharadh, '1134' unfolds in two distinct halves. The first part focuses on the kidnapping and individual motives, unfolding at a slow pace. However, as the story progresses into the second half, the narrative gains momentum, becoming more engaging and interesting.

The film takes an unexpected turn towards the end, avoiding the clichéd and conventional setups typical in Telugu cinema. The protagonists' investigation to identify the real culprit and the introduction of a twist in the pre-climax provide edge-of-the-seat moments.

Performances and Technical Aspects:

Despite being a challenge to make a film with relatively new faces, the director handles the newcomers effectively, extracting convincing performances from the cast. Krishna Madupu, Gangadhar Reddy, Phani Bhargav, and Phani Sharma portray their characters with a blend of action, emotion, and comedy, showcasing natural and engaging screen presence.

Murali Karthikeya's music, while decent, leaves room for improvement. Cinematography by Najeeb Shaik and Jitender Talakanti is commendable, contributing to the film's overall visual appeal.

Director SSharadh skillfully blends various genres – crime analysis, robbery, mystery, and suspense – striking a chord with audiences by avoiding deviations from the central narrative.

Verdict:

'1134' brings a fresh perspective to the crime thriller genre, relying on the performances of its cast and a unique storyline. While it requires expertise in crafting heist dramas with multiple elements, the film manages to be partly convincing, offering a blend of suspense and entertainment. As audiences seek out diverse narratives, '1134' may find its place among those looking for something beyond the mainstream. One Audition at a Time! 🎭✨ #CastingWonders"
