Well, for one, there is hardly any heaving and moaning sex.

Disappointed? Don’t be. There is plenty more that makes this film a one-time watch.

One Night Stands starts with a flashback – top event manager Urvil (Tanuj Virwani) meets the very beautiful Celina (Sunny Leone, her actual name being Amber) at a fashion show he has organised. He wagers a bet with his friends that he can walk up and talk to her.

Well, the talking ends up with a roll in the hay. Just as the film title suggests.

The dust has settled on the lust, Urvil’s stay-at-home wife Simran (Nyra Banerjee) picks him up from the airport and life is supposed to move on. And there in lies the twist.

Urvil is obsessed, Celina couldn’t be bothered to think of anything beyond that one night. If director Jasmine D’Souzsa wants to show women’s emancipation in Celina’s choice, then she succeeds.

Jasmine has also managed to pare down the sex, given the very hot Ms Leone an Indian taming. But Ms Leone continues to struggle to act. And there was ample opportunity to in this film at least.

Tanuj Virwani is better in his third outing, though he too struggles in some scenes. Nyra Banerjee has certainly made an impressive debut.

Producer Furquan Khan has doled out the moolah it seems in getting the right settings in Pune, Mumbai and Bangkok.
