With movies like the Avenger, Iron Man, Superman and the list goes on, for this genre, there is a certain essence you already know is going to be there. The benchmark that some of the superhero films have set with their stellar performances is hard to match.

However, Tim Miller’s Deadpool has clearly marked a territory of this genre with its execution so cool, you feel this superhero is extremely different from the rest. As the opening credits roll in, the visuals zoom out from what seems like a perfectly parked car into a street where we see some serious action going down. 15 minutes into the film and you've already been served with face numbing kicks and punches.

Wade Wilson (Ryan Reynolds) plays this character with utmost ease that he makes it look like he was born with it. Despite the action that will keep you at the edge of the seat in the beginning of the film, the makers have called this a love story.

Wade gets paid for teaching a lesson the hard way to those who stalk teenage girls. It’s a tough life but he has survived so far. He has a girlfriend Vanessa ( Morena Baccarin) who he loves to death. Life seemed perfect for the two until one day he wakes up to a shocking news that changes his life. He has been diagnosed with cancer and soon all the dreams of living a wonderful life with his partner comes crashing down.

However, he gets a one-way ticket to cure cancer. He initially refuses but later gives in. He gets cured but the treatment has a bad after effect. What happens later is something you should go and find out yourself in the theatres.

The most interesting part of the film is Wade’s sense of humour, especially during the killings. The dialogues are hilarious but it doesn’t take you away from the intense moments of action. The music of the film is also perfectly in sync with the high-octane action sequence. It is one of the most well choreographed chase sequences you will see on a free way.

Deadpool is a film you wouldn’t want to miss.
