The silver-toned budding singer from Chennai, Aishwarya Ravichandran, is jubilant as her song 'Anbu Vazhi' from Nenjamundu Nermaiyundu Odu Raja, has been receiving accolades in the Tamil film industry. The song, emotional and melodic in nature, aims to spread a social message. Earlier her song 'Pularaadha' from the movie Dear Comrade received more than 1.8 million views and went viral. The song she sang in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada (Pularaadha, Kadalalle, Madhupole and Kadalanthe) along with Sid Sriram was lauded for its appealing tune.
Aishwarya started her career as an emcee. She says, "I performed during my college cultural event. An event management company spotted me and in 2015 offered me a chance to work as an MC. They started giving me very small events. If you have the potential then you can take it to the next level. One day in 2016, when I was in third year of college, I was the comperé in an event in a mall when a producer approached me for audio launch of his movie and introduced me to a music director and then I started singing devotional songs," she said.
"I contacted composers through social media and slowly started singing tracks. Since last year I have started getting offers as a lead singer. I met Justin Prabhakaran through social media. Now I am singing tracks for Balamurali Balu, Vishal Chandrasekhar, Vijay Antony, Yuvan Shankar Raja, Thaman and Gibran among others. I did solo background vocals for the movie Pachai Manjal Sivappu for composer Siddhu Kumar. I made my debut in Traffic Ramasamy with composer Balamurali Balu which released last year," she elaborated.
Aishwarya says, "I shared my song from the movie Dear Comrade with Karthik Venugopal, director of Nenjamundu Nermaiyundu Oru Raja, and he then referred me to Shabir, composer of NNOR. I sang the track for this song and they retained my voice for the final version. I have sung the song along with Sahana and Sharanya Srinivas."
The singer thanked composer Shabir for giving her the opportunity stating he is a good composer who always encourages new singers. Aishwarya Ravichandran is currently working on a Telugu song from the movie Guna369, which is expected to release next week.
