Bangara s/o Bangarada Manushya movie review: Nothing except Raitha and Rajkumar
The film is worth a watch it for these reasons only, farmers, the late legendary actor Rajkumar and Shivanna.
Director: Yogi G Raj
Cast: Shivarajkumar, Vidya Pradeep, Chikkanna, Srinivasa Murthy, Sadhu Kokila, Shivaram, Sharath Lohitashwa
Even as Puneeth Rajkumar starrer 'Raajakumara' is still running in theatres, the legendary actor late Dr. Rajkumar makes another special appearance in this one as the golden man. Now, it's the turn of Shivanna to the play son to the golden man's character.
If not for late Dr. Rajkumar's presence on the screen while connecting his stature for the purpose of this film or showcasing farmer's issue which only sounds good on the screen, this one too falls flat in an attempt to shine brightly on the silver screen.
It does look obvious that the old film and video clips of Dr. Rajkumar used here simply refers to the real legendary actor in real life, but the director narrates a different story to suit the tale here! Looks like more such tales might be spun in the coming days based on the popular characters played by the legendary actor. In 'Raajakumara' it was 'Kasturi Nivasa', a classic about human values, sacrifice and so on. Here, it's another classic film 'Bangarada Manushya', which becomes the driving force with farmer's issue being the focal point.
This one too kicks off with a foreign location wherein the protagonist is a wealthy businessman living in Italy. He is mostly shown making wild bets and playing his favourite race games on his personal iPad in his office!
A practical man who doesn't believe in tomorrow and lives for the moment is the basic structure of his attitude. His sidekick is the comedian Chikkanna. With a foreign location such as Italy, a couple of songs shot in the posh streets of Italy becomes necessary along with the introduction of the heroine.
With nothing spectacular apart from touring Italy in the first half, the second half starts to make 'some' sense after the protagonist decides to follow the footsteps of his father to help the poor and the needy. He soon realises the problems of farmers and sets on to resolve them permanently. It soon takes the shape of a movement. There is a twist in the 'end' too!
Watch it for these reasons only - farmers, the late legendary actor and Shivanna. Expect more such special appearances of late Dr. Rajkumar in the coming days.
