Hello Guru Prema Kosame movie review: You only love twice, predictably
Director Nakkina Trinadha Rao knows to take up regular subjects and insert commercial ingredients.
Cast: Ram Pothineni, Anupama Parameshwaran, Prakash Raj, Sithara, Posani
Director: Nakkina Trinadha Rao
Director Nakkina Trinadha Rao comes up with Hello Guru Prema Kosame on the back of two hits, Cinema Choopista Mama and Nenu Local. The film stars Ram Pothineni and Anupama in the lead roles and has top producer Dil Raju backing it.
Sanju (Ram) completes his education in Kakinada and gets a job in Hyderabad. On his way he meets Anupama (Anupama) and likes her. She turns out to be the daughter of his mother’s friend Viswanath’s (Prakash Raj), at whose house he will stay in Hyderabad. At his office, he falls in love with Ritu (Pranitha Subhash). But an incident teaches him where his heart lies. Viswanath fixes Aunupama’s marriage with Karthik (Noel).
Director Nakkina Trinadha Rao knows to take up regular subjects and insert commercial ingredients. He carries the skill into Hello Guru Prema Kosame, which otherwise has a well-worn story, and adds entertainment and humour. However, after Ram tells Prakash Raj that he is in love with his daughter, the pace slows.
The second half completely belongs to the two actors, and the Trinadha Rao touch weakens. With Anupama not getting a stronger role, it winds its way to a routine ending.
Ram is perfect for the role and is energetic and his comic timing is spot on. Anupama turns in a very good job once again, but her role is limited. Prakash Raj gets a lengthy role which he does with ease. Pranitha Subhash is okay, Praveen provides a few laughs.
Devi Sri Prasad’s music is not up to the mark. Vijay C. Chakravarthy provides good visuals for the film. Some Prakash Raj scenes and the hilarious first half are the highlights.
