After Ondu Motteya Kathe, a 'bald' satire, sandalwood witnesses a simple but effective 'comedy thriller'.
Director: Simple Suni
Cast: Manish Rishi, Shraddha Srinath, Rajesh Nataranga, Aruna Balraj
After Ondu Motteya Kathe, a 'bald' satire, sandalwood witnesses a simple but effective 'comedy thriller'. Simple Suni strikes back after his previous disappointment, and this time he successfully operates kidnapping audience in exchange for fun and entertainment.
Yet again the sensible script wins with good making along with the honest portrayal of characters especially the debutant Manish Rishi, who will henceforth be remembered as Purmy and not pummy, and his amazing English speaking skills. Whereas, Shraddha Srinath, who took a 'U-Turn' in her Kannada debut, returns in another head-turning performance as Ananya.
The simple operation starts with Mr. Paramesh alias Purmy, an orphan living a 'branded' life who accidentally finds a perfect match in a beautiful teacher, who has been living a 'serious' life while taking care of her ailing mother.
In between, there is another parallel plot which shows Purmy him as an alleged kidnapper of a school going boy from a wealthy business family. While Purmy maintains his innocence with the police, the other plot unravels all about him and his love-life.
The story penned by Suni apart from his multitasking ability as a lyricist, producer, director and much more, binds a cute love story with a crime thriller. However, it's the kidnapping part which drags a bit but no worries, as Purmy's English speaking performance and Ananya's cute presence keeps it going smooth.
The rest of the operation runs nearly perfect keeping the audience guessing about the real kidnapper. It's neat, lovable, laughable and few tit bits of emotional sentiments make the operation a great success, and the patient is definitely cured of boredom for a great two plus hours of simple fun & entertainment. Want to know about the kidnapper and who Alamelamma is anyway? Then simply, watch this operation.
