Mundina Nildana movie review: Love \'life\'
To the ever haunting question on the purpose of life, the answer is as complex as the question itself.
Director: Vinay Bharadwaj
Cast: Praveen Tej, Radhika Narayan, Ananya Kashyap, Ajay Raj, Dattanna
To the ever haunting question on the purpose of life, the answer is as complex as the question itself. Every individual has his/her own understanding of life or at least makes an attempt towards knowing it better. For an innocent child, life could be as simple as wishing to have a favourite toy to play with, and whereas for adults, it is quite a journey which has no end but for criss-cross the person encounters on various levels. In simple words, it is a beautiful mess wherein we all do nothing but mess it up accordingly to our understanding towards it.
In here, Vinay Bharadwaj's 'Mundina Nildana' which means next stop/destination talks about life in different perspectives through three of his main characters, interconnected with each other through various modes of relationship such as love, friendship, marriage and the most important of all - to realise his/her real passion and the path towards it.
The director projects all of the above in a fairly well written script though at times, it is a bumpy ride the journey moves ahead. What strikes the most is the technical work by team, right from how it is presented on the screen to how it sounds and makes the audience feel when experiencing the saga of Partha Srivastava, Meera and Ahana.
Projected through the central character of Partha, played by the talented Praveen Tej, it is his journey from being a software engineer to eventually embracing his true love of his life. He encounters Meera, a confident girl who is seeking for a soulmate whereas Ahana is fun loving medical student with her heart set on becoming a cancer specialist. She has no time for commitments. All three lives criss-cross at various points and the end result is on how they reach their next stop ahead.
Music plays a soothing role with few good numbers to keep the journey more enjoyable, and also the cast, who have put up their best with special mention for the three protagonists. Physical transformation to emotional handling of his three shaded role, Praveen deserves appreciation and Radhika is a delight to watch as a mature lady and last but not least Ananya wonders all with her performance. She is the one to watch out for in the future. Vinay's journey on life is definitely worth watching, so hop onto it if you love life.
