While there’s no denying that Electro house music has amassed tons of fans over the years, if there’s a DJ duo who are quite banking on the trend, it’s got to be  ANSWER— a collaborative effort by artists Arjun Nair and  Stallion, featuring the best of electronic dance music and audio-visual experiences. We catch up with the DJ duo who is back in the news again — as they are all set to perform at the Spinland Festival, the largest annual electronic music festival in India to be held in Hyderabad, alongside six headliners and 40 other renowned DJs from across the country.

Being the only House music artists from Bengaluru who will be playing at the first edition of the Spinland 2016 —  a global music festival to be held on February 12, 13 and , Arjun mentions how thrilled he and Stallion are about the three day camp-out festival. “We are very excited as we've been offered the opportunity to perform at the festival which boasts the biggest stage to be ever constructed at a concert in India. There’s also an upcoming collaboration with one of the head liners, so we will be playing a prominent slot at the festival,” he adds.

Having performed at India's biggest festivals like Vh1 Supersonic & Sunburn and with an international label called "One Night In Amsterdam” to their credit, the artists have completed about 300 shows spread across 14 cities in India over the past two-and-half years; joining the league of the highest booked artists in the country. Talking about how the focus has always been on creating aberrant clubbing experiences, Arjun Nair reinstates how they intend on bringing an added edge to their listeners by offering unique audio-visual experiences.

“ANSWER is one of the very few artists in India who have their own audio-visual set that comprises of a mix of deep and future house to big room house and progressive sounds synced with visuals that take the audience on an uplifting emotional journey,” he says.

The city-based collaborative is also scheduled to play for Nocturnal Cell, which is the Garden City’s own annual festival held at UB City sometime at the end of February. Opining about the general vibe of the city with regard to it's liberal music scene, Stallion mentions how the city's quite the haven for artists."

Bengaluru is the hub for dance music in India, and we love playing here as the crowd really knows their house music well. As artists, we love playing new tracks as the audience here receive it well. And this is probably why a lot of international artists love coming down to perform in the city," he mentions.

With their first couple of original tracks all set for release later this year; two of their brand new singles and an international debut in the pipeline, this Bengaluru-based duo is well on their way to foray into the international music scene with gusto. “We aim to revolutionise the way one perceives the music experience in India,” Arjun signs off.
