Suvan Mathur, a performing hip hop DJ

1 If you weren’t doing what you were doing, what would you be doing?
Well, I’d pretty much be doing the same. Perhaps, go a notch higher and travel the world making music!
2 True love, eternal youth, or a million bucks? What’s the first thing you’d pick?
 True love.
3Take us through an instance of a date gone real bad...
I always make sure alcohol is in plenty so nothing really ever gets bad, from what I remember!
4 Music to you is? And if you were to explain it to your grand mum, how would you do it?
Music more or less now is life, you love it and hate it at times too, and every aspect is centered around it. Well, grandma, music is the perfect blend of the right melodies, harmonies, voices, lyrics and rhythm, or you just go “la la la la.”
5 The most bizarre response you received when you told someone that you perform live for a living?
It's actually a thing now, when I used to perform very regularly without a job eight years ago, at that time, music could still not pay the bills. But now it does for a lot of artists out there. I still work, need a million bucks if I chose true love over the same!
6 A fashion trend you wouldn’t copy, even on a gunpoint?
Gel my beard or use any kind of icky stickiness on it.
7 A guilty pleasure
Anything with softness, lace and icing, that satiates my sweet tooth. Um, I'm talking about desserts — Just saying.
8 A trait of yours that people are better off not knowing?
Haha! Giving it a broader umbrella — all my OCDs. Now you wouldn’t want to know it all... would you?
9 A compliment that you never really understood
“You are it,” said one of the guys from the crowd of a pub I was playing at. Couldn’t ever figure what he meant.
10 what would your tombstone read as?
No FB Artist Page since 1987.

The artiste will be performing at the 'Hum Hip Hop Project' in Humming Tree, Indiranagar on September 10.
