BTS Suga Breaks Down on Stage at D-Day Concert
BTS member SUGA recently unveiled a significant and highly anticipated friendship tattoo on August 10th. The tattoo, featuring the number 7, symbolizes his bond with fellow group members. The reveal was met with immense excitement from fans who had been eagerly waiting for months to catch a glimpse of this special ink. Tattoo artist POLYC shared a clear photo of the tattoo on his Instagram, allowing fans to fully appreciate the design.
The tattoo became a topic of conversation after its initial reveal during SUGA's D-DAY THE FINAL concert at the KSPO Dome on August 6th. While fans had been eagerly speculating about the tattoo's significance, SUGA had only provided a subtle peek during the concert and later offered a clearer view during a live video session following the show. It was revealed that the tattoo was created by tattoo artist POLYC, who had also previously tattooed the number 7 on other BTS members, including RM, Jin, J-Hope, V, Jimin, and Jungkook. Additionally, POLYC updated some of the younger member's previous tattoos and added new meaningful ones.
SUGA's tattoo holds personal significance due to a shoulder injury he sustained from an accident. In November 2020, he underwent surgery to address this injury, and the trauma from this experience influenced the song "Amygdala" from the album D-DAY. Despite the challenge, he decided to place the friendship tattoo on his shoulder, showcasing his strong bond with the group. The tattoo artist expressed his gratitude to SUGA and encouraged him to take good care of the artwork.
SUGA recently concluded a successful solo tour with the D-DAY THE FINAL encore concert series in Seoul on August 6th. Notably, he invited special guests Jungkook, Jimin, and RM to join him on different concert dates, with Jin and J-Hope attending as audience members to support their friend during their military service break. Unfortunately, BIGHIT MUSIC announced SUGA's decision to proceed with his military enlistment, ending his postponement. The exact enlistment date has yet to be disclosed.
The announcement from BIGHIT MUSIC reads, "Hello. This is BigHit Music. We would like to inform our fans that Suga has initiated the military enlistment process by applying for the termination of his enlistment postponement. We will inform you of further updates in due course."
Despite his successful concert, SUGA was visibly emotional during his performance and later during a live session on Weverse. He shared his feelings about the concert and his journey, expressing gratitude for the presence of his fellow members and senior artists. SUGA hinted that the Seoul concert marked a poignant moment, implying that it might be his last stage performance for a while. He discussed the prospect of reuniting with his fellow BTS members in 2025, suggesting that fans can expect to see them again then.
