Sofia Chaudry says the classic Indian music \'Breathe\' freshness into her song

Breathe is a bitter-sweet song which portrays the love-hate relationship between a girl and a boy.

Mumbai: The Pakistani- Dutch singer Sofia Chaudry who rose to fame with her debut song “Thinking about you” in which she is seen singing alongside Bohemia the Punjabi rapper, talks about the making of her next hit “Breathe”.

Breathe is a bitter-sweet song which portrays the love-hate relationship between a girl and a boy. It talks about a girl who gives herself to the relationship and how she picks herself each time she felt he let her down.

This latest Single of Sofia Chaudry has more than one million views and it was produced by Divy an Indian-Australian. Sofia says, “I had the words but I needed the right music and when Divy sent me the track with the sitar music I instantly fell in love with it and knew that this will be apt for my song, the music adds freshness to the song. The interesting thing about Breathe was that most of the song was made and put together over Skype as Divy and I stay in different continents”.

When the decision to shoot the song in India was made, Divy was very excited and made a few tweaks to the song which gave the song a classic touch. Breathe was shot in Chandigarh and was released in the February 2019 and has been well applauded and appreciated for its versatility and multifaceted Music.

Sofia is currently working on three new songs which she says are very different from the previous ones she has written and plans on releasing them by the end of the year.
