Neeti Mohan is best known for being the voice behind the highly energetic Jiya Re from Jab Tak Hai Jaan. Eldest of the four talented Mohan sisters, Neeti was one of the winners of Channel V’s Popstars in 2003. Currently, the Tune Maari Entriyaan singer is one of the judges of The Voice, alongside Shekhar and Shaan, where the team’s judging children currently. A chat about Neeti’s musical favourites:

One song that you listen to on repeat mode on your iPod these days: A R Rahman’s Raasaali, and Meghan Trainor’s Me Too.

Five songs in the soundtrack of your life: Moh Se Chalke Jaaye from Guide; Kesariya Balma from Lekin; Yeh Haseen Waadiyaan from Roja; Jiya Re a song that I sung; and I Will Always Love You by Whitney Houston.

A song that you love to listen to when you’re:
You’re happy and upbeat: I quite often listen to Internet radio; especially the RnB section if I am jumpy.
You’re working out: Dara Ding Dara Ding Dara Ding.

Music that you used to love as a kid or a teenager that you’re now embarrassed by: I used to love Govinda songs and now I am embarrassed about it. I don’t understand why thought because even now people dance to his music. I think they are still fun.

You would describe your taste in music as: It depends on my mood but classical music is what I am drawn towards. I also listen to Sufi music and bhajans too.

One band/musician you’d want a private concert from: Coldplay.

One live act you would love to see at least once in your life? It has to be Beyonce.
