Khatija Rahman, daughter of A.R. Rahman, known for her assertive replies to trolls, has tweeted asking her friends and followers not to tag her in the ‘black and white photo challenge,’ a viral campaign trending among celebs, saying she is not into taking up challenges.

Khatija explained her reasons on Instagram. She said, “All of us are strong, doing great in our own ways. Some of the efforts are visible, some of them are doing great things silently. It’s hard for me to pick out just 5, 15 or 20 of them. It might give rise to low confidence issues and other(sic).”

She clarified that this was her personal view, and not intended as a judgement against those who are taking up or calling others to take up the challenge.

“Nobody does it with any bad intention,” she noted.
Khatija also asked people not to take offence when she does not accept their challenges.

Tagging hashtag #challengenotaccepted, she said.

“Feel free to continue this amongst your friends. It feels great when someone takes the effort to upload a photo and get compliments. We are in a global pandemic and little things like this are a good diversion(sic).”
