Netizens Accuse Kim Namjoon of Spreading Islamophobia

Popular Korean band leader RM, aka Kim Namjoon, found himself in the eye of a storm after sharing Frank Ocean's soulful track, Bad Religion. However, he stood firm and did not tender any apology.

Seeing the post, some netizens accused him of 'Islamophobia' and some disappointed fans even burnt his photo cards.

Sensing the trouble, RM, known for his honest approach, made a statement. He cleared the air and said: "You guys keep saying that I humiliated a religion, but I didn't. My intent wasn’t to insult any religion & I’d have respect for all beliefs & religions."

RM showcased his firm stance, explaining, "I am fully aware of what's happening on Instagram. I can see it, but there wasn’t any intention to offend any religion. It's a song. So I am not gonna apologize. I'm 30-years-old & have the privilege to express my truth. A word is a word. Don’t assume!"

This honest remarks by their BTS idol earned him a wave of support from the dedicated ARMY. His direct and transparent communication resonated with his fans spread across the globe.
