What to Watch' for week ending April 28
Thrillers, comedies, a new global series featuring India’s very own Priyanka Chopra, and a documentary are on the anvil this week for the viewers. Let’s try to find out some more details of the entertainment stuff to be dished out on streamers. As usual, Friday continues to be a blockbuster day with most of the releases vying for the crucial day.
Netflix
Dropping on Wednesday, Mahershala Ali narrates ‘Chimp Empire’, this immersive nature documentary from Oscar-winning director James Reed. Releasing the same day, things get complicated in ‘The Marked Heart’, a series where a man determined on exacting revenge on the organ trafficking organization that murdered his wife gets involved with the woman who received her heart. The third release on Wednesday is ‘Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Once & Always’, a children’s movie.
Described as a romantic thriller and fantasy, ‘Tooth Pari’ drops on April 20, Thursday on the streamer. Starring Revathi, Tillotama Shome, Sikandar Kher, Adil Hussain and Shantanu Maheshwari, the movie has been directed by Pratim D. Gupta. Thursday will also see the release of ‘The Diplomat’, a political show headlined by Keri Russell who will be seen juggling between her personal problems and professional responsibilities as US ambassador to the UK.
Of all the releases on Friday one that is likely to interest many is the next season of ‘Indian Matchmaking’, a show that deals with the Indian marriage system and its related stereotypes.
