Bigg Boss Telugu 8 Day 3 Highlights: Fighting Nominations and Increasing Strains

Update: 2024-09-05 18:46 GMT
Bigg Boss is hosted by Nagarjuna Akkineni.

Even with the very first week of shows, the latest season of Bigg Boss Telugu has set quite the tone for the drama. There were also a few bouts hissing and pouting. The very first week of nominations, which was conducted on September 3 and 4, saw a lot of fights, a lot of tears and a lot of debates and discussions among the inmates in the house.

First Week Nominations Turn Chaotic

The nomination activity commenced with a whimper instead of the bang one would have expected as most of them ended up shouting and crying in the course of this activity. Over the course of two days, the above led to the nomination of 6 contestants Bejawada Bebakka, Sonia Akula, Prithviraj, Naga Manikantha, Shekhar Basha and Anchor Vishnupriya.

Voting Polls Open for Eliminations

At the end of the Wednesday episode, voting was opened for such contestants for elimination for up to six nominated contestants. The fate of all these contestants will be determined by viewer votes, with the announcers saying that the first elimination will be revealed by the host Nagarjuna on Sunday’s episode. For now, the houseboys and girls who have been nominated are expected to play their best to impress viewers in a bid to remain in the house as the crowning moment draws closer.

Hero Aditya Om Sparks Nominations

‘Sure, let’s get started’, was how contestant Aditya Om began the nomination for the second week mostly because he found the issues troubling and did not hesitate to address them. One of the first names he brought up for nomination was Prithviraj, who he claims does more gossiping than actual production work especially in the cleaning unit. Aditya Om stressed Prithviraj’s inactivity in reference to other members even noting it was necessary to do the shouting.

‘Since all the departments were set up, you worked the least in the cleaning department’, commented Aditya Om. Defensively, Prithviraj received the blame and appropriated to undertake rectification as per the promises he made.

Another thing that Aditya Om also pointed out was to be polite to other people especially women, another concern was raised as he said Prithviraj should instead be more polite when talking to people especially women. After all, he acknowledged that Prithviraj had said sorry once for what he had done, Aditya said that he does not want to hear any more similar words.

‘I appreciate your excuse, but for your development, do not do that anymore,’ said Aditya before stepping outside the locker room.

Aditya Om also cited his second and final nomination for the second week and that was Shekhar Basha who he had been bonding and getting along with well. Yet, Aditya has not been happy that Shekhar was quiet lately; Shekhar was ‘lazy’ for the last 2 days. Aditya was dejected and said that even though they had formed a good relationship, the fact that Shekhar was doing nothing at all during the activities was disheartening.

"Laziness as an attitude is unacceptable. In fact, I saw the highest proportions of laziness in you today and yesterday. You are supposed to be more proactive. You have not assisted anybody," answered Aditya.

Shekhar in reply tried to justify the reasons for slow movement to be due to tiredness and sleep deprivation. "It's not that I'm lazy, it's just that I know I haven't been very active because of why I'm tired. Now I'm coming out to help other people and to learn how to improve myself,” said Shekhar.

With so much ever increasing tension during the first week, the viewers should be expecting more drama and emotional moments from housemates as they fight for their stakes in the contest. With the voting poll still active, the first eviction hangs over the contestants like a sword, and the evicted participants have no choice but show excellent performance in order not to be eliminated.

More twists, altercations and acts are expected in the first week of Bigg Boss Telugu 8 as more battlegrounds are developed.
