Fahadh Faasil’s Bougainvillea OTT streaming details

Bougainvillea featured Kunchacko Boban, Jyothirmayi, and Fahadh Faasil, and made its theatrical release on the 17th of October 2024, is thrice now set to be released across digital platforms. The film, directed by Amal Neerad delves deep into the sub-genres of psychological slashers, also features the lead roles of him as well as Eeswar, and is set to air on SonyLIV on the 13th of December 2024, about two months after it premiered on the screen.

Fans are resuming between seasons in anticipation of its release on OTT platforms and the announcement has already sparked excitement among them.

The film Bougainvillea is about the troubles that aim to surround Dr. Royce Thomas with his wife Reethu and his family. Reethu who after sustaining injuries due to an accident about seven years brings her character back to the fold few years later and finds herself in the midst of a psychological thriller.

Reethu has lost most of her memories and now suffers from a psychological disturbance, resulting in a large frame of pictures missing or out of sight. However, the disappearance of several women, later believed to be dead, had brought it extremely easy that Reethu was a new suspect, naturally pulling her into a whirlwind with no other direction than to reclaim her lost memories.

The movie contains some prominent names such as Veena Nandakumar, Sharaf U Dheen, Srinda, Shobi Thilakan, and Jinu Joseph who handle crucial roles.

One of the most striking features of Jyothirmayi is that the actress made her comeback to the silver screen after eleven-year hiatus. Her last role was in the 2014 movie, Urava. Fans and critics of the actress regard her performance in the movie to be the perfect time for her comeback.

There are critics that consider Bougainvillea one of the movie’s strong points, others have mixed feelings towards the movie. The film appeared to be performing well commercially. The film does have a strong soundtrack in Sushin Shyam which has received recognition.

Kunchacko Boban on the other hand, has managed to get a role in the Mammootty starrer movie that fans have been looking forward to MMMN, directed by Mahesh Narayanan. The supporting cast will also include Fahadh Faasil and Moha Arjun in an extended cameo as well.

In other news, Fahadh Faasil will soon feature in the movie Pushpa 2: The Rule where he plays the villain starring alongside Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna.
