Thalavan OTT Release Date Confirmed

The much-awaited Malayalam cop drama Thalavan is going to stream on OTT platforms from September 10th coinciding with Onam festival in Kerala, one of India’s most important harvest festivals. It will be streaming on Sony LIV.

During its theatre run, Thalavan had gained critical appreciation for its good production values and solid performances. Jis Joy, known for his romantic comedies has directed this film which marks his shift to another genre. The film is produced by Arun Narayan Productions in association with London Studios represented by Sijo Sebastian.

First-time writers Anand Thevarkatt and Sarath Perumbavoor have written the screenplay. Cinematography was handled by Sharan Velayudhan while music and background scores were composed by Deepak Dev. The editing was done by Sooraj E S.

The film’s major thrilling aspects comprise of an expectation of powerhouse performances by Biju Menon and Asif Ali, both of whom have made significant achievements in their careers. In addition, Deepak Dev’s musical composition is known to be captivating to the audience. Besides, Jis Joy’s ability to construct an attention-grabbing cop story with a plot-driven narrative increases its appeal.

Nevertheless, the movie is hampered by the difficulty of distinguishing itself in a genre that already has many cop stories. For Thalavan to succeed it must provide different and meaningful impact steering clear from conventional narratives.

Thalavan, however, boasts a strong cast, astute direction and engaging music that would ensure its ability to fascinate and satisfy audiences with its blend of surprises and fulfillment that sets it apart in this genre.
