If reports are to be believed, Prabhas's upcoming film Fauji is expected to have a staggering budget of ₹400 crores, making it the second most expensive film of his career after Kalki 2898 AD, which had a budget exceeding ₹500 crores. Directed by Hanu Raghavapudi, who recently achieved success with Sita Ramam, Fauji is described as a period epic set in the pre-Independence era, necessitating extensive set work and CGI to authentically recreate the historical context.

According to sources, the ambitious budget reflects Prabhas's expanding market presence and the increasing scale of his film projects. "With Fauji, we see the financial commitment that comes with crafting a larger-than-life narrative," said an insider.

Set against the backdrop of 1945, Fauji will portray Prabhas in the role of a soldier serving in the British army. The film also features notable actors Mithun Chakraborty and Jaya Pradha in pivotal roles. As a pan-India project, Fauji is expected to broaden its appeal, with action sequences designed to enhance Prabhas’s already larger-than-life image. He is also set to share the screen with debutant actress Immanvi. Filming is currently taking place in Madurai and other locations, with Prabhas reportedly enthusiastic about his role, which draws inspiration from the legendary Subhash Chandra Bose.

In addition to Fauji, Prabhas is simultaneously working on another project titled The Rajasab. He is coordinating his schedule between these two films and is expected to move on to other projects, including Salaar 2 and Spirit, in the near future. This ambitious slate showcases Prabhas's dedication to his craft and his ability to juggle multiple high-profile projects at once.
