Raashii Khanna on a comeback bid?
Pretty actress Raashii Khanna has tactfully signed her next Telugu film ‘Telusu Kada’ in which she will be wooing new sensation Siddhu Jonnalagadda in the romantic entertainer. “It is a perfect comeback vehicle for the lanky actress. She has ticked a film with the most happening star Siddhu and it is bound to get more mileage among youth and masses,” says a source. Just recently, Raashii tasted big success with her Tamil horror movie ‘Aranmanai 4’ (Baak in Telugu) shattering the box office in Tamil Nadu. Her song ‘Achacho’ has rocked musical charts. “She was looking gorgeous and matched dancing steps with Tamannaah with ease and showcased her dancing prowess,” he adds.
However, her Hind outing ‘Yodha’ with Siddarth Malhotra didn’t set the box office on fire, while she received appreciation for her role in ‘Farzi’ opposite Vijay Sethupathi. “She has turned into a multilingual actress and doing roles in Bollywood, Kollywood, and Malayalam too, and expanding her horizons. She has become popular across India with all her efforts,” he points out.
No doubt, Raashii had her share of hits in Tollywood like ‘Oohalu Gusagusalade’, ‘Jai Lava Kusa,’, ‘Hyper’ and ‘Tholi Prema’ but her career nose-dived after duds like ‘Touch Chesi Choodu’ and ‘World Famous Lover’. “At times, flops do affect the careers of a few actresses, although most Telugu films are hero-centric, yet they take the brunt and offer to dwindle for them. Prompting them to gravitate to other language movies,” he concludes.
