This Deepak' shines in Kabira
She is on a roll since her Sandalwood debut flick. Now Vaishali Deepak shares her excitement on her new film.
Having worked with Shivanna in Shivalinga, Vaishali will be sharing screen space with the star again. How was her experience of working with him?
“Despite being one of the biggest stars, he is so humble and down-to-earth. He is very simple and every minute, there is something you can learn from him if you keep observing him. He is inspiring and the best part is that he makes everyone feel so comfortable around him,” says the actress, who was ecstatic when Shivalinga touched a 100 days in cinema halls.
Taking us back to her school days, this Bishop Cotton alumnus reveals that she was always an avid theatre buff and would jump at an opportunity to take part in plays.
“I did professional theatre in Christ College when I was doing my mass communication. I even did a three-month theatre internship in Mumbai. Post that, I did some short films in Bengaluru. I always had an unwavering dedication to acting and through my contacts, I got pulled into the film industry,” she reminisces.
For someone who’s relatively new in the industry, the artiste already has her mind set on doing a mixed variety of roles.
“I want to do films where I can stand up for what I believe in. That doesn’t mean I won’t do commercial cinema. I’d like to think of myself as a versatile actress who can fit into any role that is given to her. I’d like to explore myself as an actress,” says Vaishali, whose next projects include Barjari with Dhruva Sarja and Yogaraj Bhat’s next film Nanna Hesare Anuragi.
