Rags to princely' riches?
She is finally done with her diet which lasted more than a year, to get to her now size zero figure.
Tall, beautiful, and now the slimmest of divas in Sandalwood — Ragini Dwivedi is on a dream run this season with a variety of unique roles — like her never-seen-before avatar as a smart cop in MMCH or portraying a Muslim lady in PC Shekar’s Terrorist, in a deglamorous intense role for Kicchu, and finally making her debut in an out-and-out yet-to-be-titled comedy starring Sharan. But that is not all, on the other side of the entertainment screen, she recently wrapped up her tele-debut as a judge for a reality show. Actress Ragini Dwivedi talks about her busy life, ending her long-running diet, and about marrying a king or a prince in future.
“I have an amazing line-up of projects this year. All unique with subjects that are very appealing. The making of them was even more exciting. In MMCH, I play a cop, but very different from what I have done in the past. I will be seen in khaki attire for a limited appearance, but this time, the lady cop avatar gets hotter and slimmer. It delves more into the real working of a cop who does smart investigations,” says Ragini Dwivedi.
The actress who was down with a fever, says that her busy schedule has definitely taken a toll on her body even as she has been enjoying good work and has been able to wrap most of it. She also keeps busy with celebrity activities — events, modelling, and keeping her newfound fitness. Having lost so much weight, she is finally done with her diet which lasted more than a year, to get to her now size zero figure.
“I have stopped my diet, now I am more focused on maintaining it by eating healthy. Moreover, yoga and routine exercises is a part and parcel of an actor’s life. It’s been quite hectic with lots of juggling around to do, but the satisfaction of good work has always helped revive me,” she adds.
With many leading actors and actresses entering into wedlock in the recent past, what are her wedding plans? The actress has an interesting answer, “Marriage? Nope, not until a few years from now. However, I do not mind if a king or a prince wishes to marry me,” she smiles, adding that she will be happier even if a die-hard fan proposes! “We all are given immense acclaim because of our cinema lovers and fans. What can be more beautiful than a fan proposing? But wait, I guess a fan would resist from doing so to see his favourite heroine do many more beautiful characters on the big screen. Isn’t it” she says in jest.
In PC Shekar’s Terrorist, she essays the role of a Muslim girl. The tale is based on the Bengaluru bomb blast incidents. The director has done an excellent job with the making of the film,” she says.
Also on the anvil is her debut in a comedy film with actor Sharan. “I am doing a complete comedy film with Sharan, who is at present the chairman (referring to his hit movie Adyaksha meaning chairman) of comedy. It will be a total laughter ride along with the best in action lined up for 2018,” she wraps up.
