I am his wife, not Pavithra Gowda, says Darshan's wife

The future of renowned Sandalwood actor Darshan hangs in balance as he awaits a ruling by the Bengaluru High Court. Currently held captive in a Bengaluru prison, Darshan is charged with cruelly assaulting and murdering his fan Renukaswamy. His judicial remand period expired on 4th July leaving his destiny at stake before court.
In another development, Vijayalakshmi, Darshan’s estranged wife, wrote to the Bengaluru Commissioner of Police claiming her legal status. According to Vijayalakshmi Pavithra Gowda, another prime suspect in Renukaswamy's murder and police have falsely claimed that she was married to Darshan. She clarified that Pavithra Gowda is just a friend of Darshan who is married to Sanjay Singh, with whom she has a daughter.
Vijayalakshmi said that this false information propagated by the Police and media has created unnecessary doubts which have been fueled by politicians and netizens alike. The Commissioner was requested to rectify these records so as not to create problems for her and her son Vineesh in future.
An investigation into Renukaswamy’s murder revealed that he, who had been an ardent fan of Darshan was upset about the actor’s relationship with Pavithra Gowda. Allegedly Raju also sent abusive messages about gowda on social media which led to his being forcibly abducted by darshan’s fans. He was then brought back to Bangalore, tortured before being killed.
As such, crucial pending decisions in the high court will have serious implications regarding Darshan’s fate and how well it deals with the intricacies surrounding those charges.
