Despite being her maiden female-centric film in Telugu, Tamannaah Bhatia has set a record of sorts since Hindi dubbing rights of her upcoming film ‘Odela 2’ were sold for a whopping price. “It has been bought for Rs 9 crores by Hindi distributors and it is the highest for a lady-oriented Telugu film in recent times,” says a Hindi distributor, who adds, “They were truly impressed with her new avatar and few looks unveiled by the makers and procured it.
Tamannaah Bhatia who wowed the audience with her dancing numbers like ‘Aaj Ki Raat’, is doing a path-breaking film. ‘She worked with many big stars and this time, she has to draw in crowds on the strength of her name and is going to begin promotions very soon,’ he points out.
Tamannaah has been doing Hindi films like ‘Sikandar Ka Muqaddar’ and ‘Vedaa’. “Tamannaah has kept her ratings and charisma intact by selectively doing films and special numbers and now her crowd-pulling prowess will be put to the test. The film will be released in February and her unique Aghora role is semi-divine and it is the first author-backed role for the noted actress,” he concludes.
