Compared to recent blockbusters like Salaar, Kalki 2898 AD, and Pushpa 2, where ticket prices ranged from ₹400 to ₹600, Game Changer’s rates are lower. However, ticket prices will vary on different days, with a reduced hike of ₹100 in multiplexes and ₹50 in single screens from day two onward. These revised rates are applicable for ten days and aim to boost footfall after the first day.
Earlier, following the Sandhya Theatre stampede incident, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy had announced in the Assembly that he would not permit ticket hikes or benefit shows. However, after industry leaders met the CM, Revanth Reddy assured them of his support for the Telugu film industry.
A top exhibitor, speaking on condition of anonymity, said, “Producer Dil Raju sought special permission for a ticket hike, citing the ₹400 crore budget and three years of production time for Game Changer. The hike helps recover investments, but it remains to be seen if the government will allow similar hikes for other films. Single screens, however, might suffer if rates aren’t capped at ₹175 and ₹100 to ensure audience patronage."
