Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah team completes 1,900 episodes

Taarak Mehta ka Ooltah Chasmah recently crossed the 1,900 episodes benchmark. The occasion was celebrated with much fanfare by the cast and the crew. Set against the backdrop of Gokuldham society in suburban Mumbai, the show chronicles the lives of the members living in the society and has a hilarious take on the situations faced by its lead protagonists Jethalal and Dayaben, played by actors Dilip Joshi and Disha Vakani.

Commenting on the milestone, Disha says, “People keep telling me Tarak Mehta ka Ooltah Chashmah is the best family entertainer. I am so elated that we have finally crossed the 1,900 mark. Even after such a long time, the tracks we do are fresh and no story has been repeated till date. The show’s set has become my second home literally. I pray it never ends.”
