Rasika Dugal turns host for TV show Devlok
She admits, I have always been interested in storytelling.\"
Actress Rasika Dugal, who has been paired opposite Nawazuddin Siddiqui in Manto, is all set to host a television show, based on mythological stories. The show, titled Devlok, will see the actress discussing interesting stories from epics like the Mahabharata and the Ramayana, alongside her co-host, mythologist Devdutt Pattanaik.
Considering the fact that Rasika has been part of the controversial play The Vagina Monologues, her foray into the mythological zone is rather unusual, she admits, “I have always been interested in storytelling. How stories are told and how they are passed on — I find figuring out all these intriguing. What is beautiful about stories is that they are — perhaps accidentally — infused with morality, politics, imagination or maybe even the aspirations of the person telling it and the person listening to it. Indian mythology has a plethora of stories; every story is layered with each small detail leading you to another story and you feel like you are caught in this chakravyuh of stories.”
