Face to face with Divya Uruduga
The actress who made her name in films and also debuted in serials is happy about the work she is getting.
She hails from a small village called Uruduga which is located in Shivamogga district— the birthplace of several eminent personalities. “If not for for my photographers which were discovered by the makers of my debut serial, I would not have ever even imagined that I could be an actress too, working in the entertainment industry.
Growing up in a small village near Thirthahalli is one of the memorable parts of my life. It is a special place for me and the natural beauty of Uruduga is altogether another experience. After schooling, I did my graduation in B.Sc in multimedia from Mangaluru,” says Divya.
Following her television acts, she faced a special tiger in her debut movie Huliraya. Despite mixed reviews, she earned appreciation for her performance, and then she raised the bar in Dhwaja alongside the talented Priyamani. Her next is a romantic thriller — Face To Face directed by Real Star Upendra’s junior Sandeep Janardhan.
While the actress is flooded with offers on both the small and big screens, Divya says that she is keen on taking up roles which are challenging and have some substance. “All I want to do is good films in which my roles should elevate the experience of watching the movie. I do not restrict myself to lead roles only,” she adds.
Further, the actress shares that when she saw director Sandeep Janardhan for the first time, she wondered if he is actually the director of the movie. “He looks so young and it was only when I learnt about his work as associate director to Uppi sir, and the way he made the movie made me believe his immense talent.”
Further, coincidentally she plays an associate director’s role in Ranchi which is one of her three other movies, for which she is shooting at present. Her other two movies are Joru wherein she plays a loud character and Nishkarsha a suspense thriller.
Divya clarifies that Nishkarsha has not similar to the classic film with the same name. With good offers in other languages both on television and films, Divya says she might try out a few for the experience of
it.
