No matter what format it is, we all are bound to respect this sport.

It is quite common for players to mouth expletives while playing a crucial match, given the pressure they have to go through to win the game at all costs.

Tempers flare up especially in a do or die game. Team members of Lucknow Nawaabs, however, will not have the liberty to do so, no matter how much the tension. Those using foul language will be fined dearly, according to a new rule passed by the captain of the team, actor Rohit Purohit and co-owner of the team, actor Ajay Chaudhary.

A source said, “Recently during a practice match, a lot of players were found using foul language. The excitement soon transformed into tension and fights. So to tame raging tempers, Rohit and Ajay came up with the idea of imposing a fine of Rs 2,000 on players mouthing foul language. The ploy has worked. The fine money will be given for charity.”

Commenting on the same, Rohit said, “We have strictly asked our players to not get carried away and use foul language on the field because we are here to play cricket and cricket is a gentleman’s game. No matter what format it is, we all are bound to respect this sport. We will all take care of the dignity of our team — Lucknow Nawaabs — because tehzeeb hi humari pehchaan hai (elegance is our identity).”
