Snowdrop lead cannot relate to onscreen role
Marina believes that playing Nadya was the one of the most complex experiences of her life.
It’s not always easy for actors to relate to their onscreen characters, but some actors effortlessly play their role and successfully engage audiences. One such artist is Ukraine’s popular television actress, Marina Dyakonenko, who plays the role of Nadya on the primetime show Snowdrop.
Marina believes that playing Nadya was the one of the most complex experiences of her life. “I’m different from my character Nadya, whether it’s the way she dresses or her choice in men — we are complete opposites. I also feel that Nadya is much stronger than I am in the way that she handles the difficult situations life throws at her,” she says.
The actress admits that she isn’t as calm and composed as her onscreen character in trying situations. “At times, I really wish I was as calm and composed as Nadya.” The actress is happy with the response Snowdrop is getting. “It’s overwhelming — I am glad they have found some sort of connection with the story.”
