Stepdaughter Accuses Anupama actress Rupali Ganguly of being a homewrecker
Anupama fame actress Rupali Ganguly, known for her role as a helpless wife to an independent woman in the TV serial, is alleged to be quite the opposite in real life by her stepdaughter.
Rupali Ganguly's stepdaughter, Esha Verma, has made many more shocking revelations against the actress. She even accused the actress of physical and mental abuse and alleged her to be a homewrecker.
Esha Verma is Ashwin K. Verma and his first wife Sapna's daughter. Her parents got married in 1997 and separated in 2008. Ashwin was married twice before tying the knot to Rupali Ganguly in 2013. Rupali and Ashwin have a son named Rudransh.
Esha, who is 26 years old and currently lives in New Jersey, posted on social media back in 2020 about her not-so-good relationship with the actress, claiming that Rupali Ganguly had an affair with her father and was never good to her and her mother, and they had gone through a tough time.
The resurfaced post from Esha has brought the family's private issue into the public eye, leading Ashwin to issue a statement addressing the matter on X, expressing empathy for his daughter's struggles growing up in a broken home and acknowledging the emotional impact that divorce can have on children.
He wrote, I do have two daughters from my previous relationships with my second wife, who had multiple challenges. He added that he cares deeply about all his children and regrets the negative attention the situation has attracted.
Esha has alleged her father to be an emotionally and physically abusive man and also compared Rupali Ganguly to Kavya's character from her show, Anupamaa. She mentioned that her mother was Anupama, whereas Rupali and Ashwin had an affair just like Vanraj and Kavya. The 26-year-old disclosed that Rupali asked Ashwin to get a divorce from his wife.
On X, Esha thanked those who reached out with support, explaining how overwhelming it has been to see her personal story go viral. She said, “This isn’t just a headline; it’s my life, my childhood, and the pain I endured then and still feel today. I’m grateful to those who have approached this with kindness, consideration, and respect." Esha reiterated that she is not seeking fame but is choosing to stand by her experiences, hoping that sharing her story might provide some support to others going through similar issues.
Esha concluded her post with a message about her challenges growing up, saying, “I wouldn’t wish the pain of a broken family on anyone, especially in circumstances like mine. Every child deserves mental health support and a loving, consistent presence from their parents."
