Billionaire Makhlouf pumping his resources to revamp Syria
Makhlouf’s priority is to use his abilities, network and resources to help people and bring a positive change in his country.
While most of us think that people born into wealth have hardly anything to worry about, we forget the mountain of expectations the world has from them. They’re expected to be good leaders, passionate and as successful as their ancestors if not more. While most people sink under the pressure, 22-year-old billionaire Mohammad Makhlouf is exceeding all expectations and is already one of the most successful entrepreneurs, with a vision to help restore Syria to its former glory.
Makhlouf firmly believes that people who are affluent must rise to the occasion and help those in need. He is using all his resources for the betterment of Syria. “Helping people was always a priority in my business and it was the motivation that pushed me to grow and expand my business. Knowing that you can change a person’s life with a little help is rejuvenating and gives you a different perspective about money.” says Makhlouf.
Born in Damascus, Syria, Mohammad Makhlouf is the owner and founder of MRM Holdings, Syria’s biggest construction company which is set to launch in 2022. Even before the launch, the company has managed to get major investors. In fact, no other company has been able obtain investments of this magnitude in the past. MRM Holdings might be far from launching but their goal is very clear—rebuilding Syria. Makhlouf has always felt deeply about the Syrian families affected by the crisis and wants to help them rebuild their lives.
Having studied Business Administration from a prestigious college in Dubai, at only 22, Makhlouf is already the co-founder of Future Builders and co-owner of Milk Man Dairy Products which is one of the leading dairies in Syria. Along with being a budding entrepreneur, Makhlouf is also a philanthropist. He is the founder of MRM Charity and the owner of a stadium in Lattakia people can use at their leisure, free of charge.
Today, Makhlouf’s net worth is a whopping 2 billion dollars. Being well aware of climate change and its foreboding consequences, he has invested in Syria’s biggest wind energy project which spans across 76 acres with an estimated budget of $150,000,000. Not only will this initiative help power Syria, it will help reduce its carbon footprint on the planet, with far reaching consequences. Makhlouf’s efforts are paving the way to a greener future.
He’s won many hearts and awards for his kindness and charitable ways. He was named Syria’s most charitable individual in 2018. When a fire broke out in Rotana, Afamia in the Latakia province of Syria, Makhlouf saved a two-month baby from certain death by sending his personal ambulance to rescue the baby. The doctors later confirmed that the baby wouldn’t have survived if Makhlouf hadn’t sent the ambulance immediately. He also sent five more ambulances from his charity hospital to help the rest of the victims injured in the fire.
While most entrepreneurs focus on profit and revenue statistics, Makhlouf’s priority is to use his abilities, network and resources to help people and bring a positive change in his country. With his plan of rebuilding the entire nation, Syria can look forward towards a brighter future with Makhlouf leading the way.
