Celebration time at Kalabhavan
The minister, in his inaugural speech, shared the memories of Onam celebrations during his childhood.
Cochin Kalabhavan has celebrated Onam and Bakrid on a high note. The celebration held at the Kalabhavan Auditorium on Saturday was inaugurated by Minister for Ports, Museums, Archaeology, and Archives, Kadannappally Ramachandran. Cine actress and Kalabhavan alumni Subi Suresh was the chief guest of the programme. Kalabhavan president Dr. Cherian Kunianthodath, secretary K.S. Prasad, and treasurer K.A. Ali Akbar were also present on the occasion.
The minister, in his inaugural speech, shared the memories of Onam celebrations during his childhood. He also sang a song as per the audience’ request. Held in front of a packed audience, the events featured former office-bearers and alumni of the institution.
The event got even more enjoyable as festival fever gripped everyone. After the Onasadhya, students of Kalabhavan staged Thiruvathirakali, Onam song competition, oppana, cinematic dance and mimicry.
