Khasakkinte Ithihasam' on stage in Kozhikode

KOZHIKODE: The much awaited play ‘Khasakkinte Ithihasam’ is all set to regale audiences in Kozhikode on May 23, 24 and 24 at Medical College grounds. The Deepan Shivaraman directed drama has got rave reviews at all the places where it was staged--Thrikkaripur, Thrissur and Kodungallur.
The 3.25-hour long drama is a mind blowing experience which will lead the viewers through ‘Thasrak’, the place where the well read novel was set. “The stage for the work is not a conventional one. We need an open ground like surface. The entire crew is in an elated mood to perform in front of the discerning audience of Kozhikode,” says Deepak Shivaraman.
As many as 40 characters created by O.V Vijayan will perform including Ravi, Allappicha Mollakka, Appukkili, Shiva-raman Nair, Madhavan Nair, Kuppuvachan, Maimoona, Khaliyar and Aliyar.
On stage fireworks and showers will rivet the audience. The stage will give an illusion of intimacy and interactivity. The smell of ghee rice, lit gunpowder and kerosene will be created to evoke the mood. K.M.K Kalasamiti, Thrikkaripur brings the novel adaptation on stage.
