Actress Lavanya Tripathi is in trouble. Though she was supposed to do the Tamil film 100% Love, a remake of the Telugu version with the same title, she decided to drop the project at the last minute. And now, the producer has complained to the South Indian Film Chamber of Commerce.  Interestingly, the Tamil film is produced by Sukumar, who directed the Telugu version while his prodigy Chandra Mouli is the director of the Tamil version.  “Lavanya mostly does Telugu movies and the producer Sukumar is also a Telugu person, so the complaint has come to the Telugu Film Producers Council and the Telugu Movie Artistes Association (MAA),” says a source.

On Monday, both the parties attended the arguments. “The producer had already booked all the tickets to UK for the shoot and had to cancel everything because of Lavanya’s withdrawal from the project. So he has asked the actress to pay Rs 1.5 crore as compensation,” adds the source. Meanwhile, the actress says that she signed the project thinking that Sukumar was the director and that she withdrew after she came to know that Chandra Mouli is the director. The complaint is still pending as the committee has not yet decided anything about it. “Most of the cases here favour the artistes, so they may ask Lavanya to pay Rs  10 or Rs 15 lakh as compensation,” says the source. The actress had also taken Rs 5 lakh as advance before signing the agreement.
