Producer D. Sivaprasad Reddy passed away few days ago in Chennai and, except for a few people, most of the industry chose to ignore him. Some producers, who don’t want to be named, say that the late producer had lost everything as his last few films didn’t do well at the box-office.

“One of the biggest producers and a studio owner sent him legal notices and didn’t give him any peace. Sivaprasad Reddy suffered a lot in his last few years and that’s why he spent most of his days in Chennai,” reveals a source. Film bodies like the Telugu Film Chamber and the Producers Council didn’t respond on his passing. They failed to even put out a press release, which they normally do whenever an industry person dies.

Sivaprasad Reddy was very close to Nagarjuna and he made 11 films with the actor. On the producer’s demise, only Nagarjuna and Chiranjeevi took the time to respond. While Nag tweeted about the loss of his friend, Chiranjeevi issued a press release.
