Kamal Haasan's debut on hold for Rajinikanth

Did a secret meeting between the two stalwarts of Tamil cinema seal the political plans of one of them? Well-informed sources from Chennai say that Kamal Haasan and Rajinikanth met last month, where it was decided that the latter would go ahead with his political plans first.

Says the source, “Rajini and Kamal never make any big decisions without consulting one another. The same is true of their political plans. So when Kamal Haasan got to know that Rajinikanth was intending to go ahead with his plans of starting his own political party, he backed off.”

Kamal apparently told Rajini that he has two films, Vishwaroopam 2 and Shabash Naidu to complete. “So it’s a free zone for Rajinikanth to go full-throttle with his political plans. None of the MGR versus Karunanidhi situation here, thank you,” adds the source.
