Prep for Telugu version Korean cop act begins
Korean action directors to train Regina and Nivetha Thomas.
We reported earlier that Regina Cassandra and Nivetha Thomas are playing cops in the Telugu version of a Korean remake, Midnight Runners. The film’s director Sudheer Varma is giving finishing touches to the script, putting his own spin on it. We now learn that both Regina and Nivetha will be training for their parts cop in the action comedy. Apparently, the producers Suresh Babu and Sunitha Tati are bringing in Korean action choreographers to train the actresses. A comprehensive programme will be designed by the Koreans to train them.
“The filmmakers wanted Nivetha and Regina to look authentic in their roles”, a source explained. Apparently, the two leading ladies will also be trained by an IPS officer. “Since the film will be shot in various schedules, depending on the availability of the actresses, the filmmakers feel that training under a local IPS Officer at regular intervals will help them stay in touch with the demands of their roles,” the source added.
